In a Division Memorandum dated August 17, 2016 the SDS ordered the reorganization of the athletic associations of the divsion. The reorganization is geared towards the increase in competitiveness, geographical grouping and ease in logistics and mobilization of athletes in the Proviincial Meet and Special Games.

The reorganized atheletic associations are:

1. First Congressional District Elementary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Rizal, La Libertad, Sibutad, Piñan, Polanco I, Polanco II, Mutia, Sergio Osmeña I and Sergio Osmeña II.

2. First Congressional District Secondary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Rizal, La Libertad, Sibutad, Piñan, Polanco I, Polanco II, Mutia, Sergio Osmeña I and Sergio Osmeña II.

3. Second Congressional District Elementary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Katipunan I, Katipunan II, Roxas I, Roxas II, Manukan I, Manukan II, Ponot and Siayan.

4. Second Congressional District Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Katipunan I, Katipunan II, Roxas I, Roxas II, Manukan I, Manukan II, Ponot and Siayan.

5. Sindangan Elementary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Sindangan, Central, Sindangan South and Sindangan North.

1. Sindangan Secondary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Sindangan, Central, Sindangan South and Sindangan North.

1. Third District Mainland Elementary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Bacungan, Salug I, Salug II, Godod, Liloy I, Liloy II, Tampilisan, Kalawit, Labason, Gutalac I and Gutalac II.

2. Third District Mainland Secondary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Bacungan, Salug I, Salug II, Godod, Liloy I, Liloy II, Tampilisan, Kalawit, Labason, Gutalac I and Gutalac II.

3. Third District Coastal Elementary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Baliguian, Siocon, Sirawai and Sibuco.

4. Third District Coastal Secondary Schools Athletic Association composed of the districts of Baliguian, Siocon, Sirawai and Sibuco.

In the same memo the PSDS's are further directed to organize the elementary schools athletic associations and the secondary school Principals of the secondary schools for the secondary schools athletic associations according to the grouping stated in the memorandum.
